You are a normal human being with normal human desires. If you are into CNC, you’re not a bad person. Those who aren’t aroused by the idea of CNC are in the minority. In fact, by some measures more than half of people are into it. It’s incredibly normal to be turned on by the idea of CNC. Why do we derive enjoyment from acting out something that is (when done “for real”) a horrifying and destructive crime? What does it mean about us as a person that we’re into CNC? My next experiment is to re-tuned for e50 fuel at 8 PSI.It’s common to have a little trouble squaring one’s desire to engage in CNC with one’s desire to be a good human. So I'd progressively inject meth with boost for engine cooling, but won't have the tune rely on its octane modifier. It's dangerous for your tune to rely on meth as pumps can fail, check valves can stick, solenoids can break, etc. I might go meth later on, but I won't tune for it. Or you can just DIY it by making the lines, buying a cooler, and cutting open the rubber lines from the trans for barb-to-AN fittings. RP does sell an AT cooler kit now, which would work for any AT gen. Each cooler is 19 rows.Īfaik TK kit doesn't offer a trans cooling option, but the AT holds lots of power if you keep it cool. I use CPE rubber braided nylon 8AN hoses for oil, and 8 AN PTFE braided steel hoses for the trans. Oil on the passenger side, trans on the driver side. Both my trans and oil coolers sit behind and above the crash bar. So now you'll need to run an external trans cooler. The CSF mounts right up, but it does eliminate the OEM loop for the automatic transmission cooling. Secured AFR, boost, oil temp, and oil pressure gauges from Performance Unleashed - also truly incredible customer serviceĭecided not to pursue meth injection for now. Switching to a Solo exhaust because 2x2.5" flows better than the ISR single at 1x3"ħ. PBM subframe risers to fix some suspension geometry weaknesses that could cause wheel hop with the turboĦ. Canceled the ATQ diff reinforcement in favor of a 4.6L Genesis Sedan subframe - it's just a way better option for ~1/2 the price.ĥ. Remnant Performance kit with 72mm ceramic BB turbo - the parts are great quality and the customer service has been the best I've ever received for any product I have ever purchasedĤ. I will be completing the install in late February when I can take a few days off of work to make a long weekend out of it.ġ. All the parts finished fabbing and arrived at my home 1-2 weeks ago. And I would recommend a boost controller, as many of them have overboost protection which cuts boost if it reaches a certain point. A level sensor is nice, but if you regularly check your tank it's more of a reminder than a necessity. I am planning in the future to install a Devil's Own stage 2 meth kit, but it is not a priority for me as I am planning on running a relatively conservative 6-7 PSI for now. If you tune specifically for it, you can extract more HP more safely from your setup. Without a tune for it, it will only serve to cool the intake charge and increase the octane rating of the fuel, helping to prevent knock and acting as a safety measure. As for meth, I don't think there is any way it can hurt. I only drove it today (Sunday), and very carefully at that. I did have my R1, which I took to work on Friday. Needless to say, I babied it, and it drove as stock. As far as driving without a tune, the owner of TK.com told me that they drove their BK2 3.8 AT test mule for over 3 months until a tuner was flown in from Korea (when they were using BTRcc.) He advised me that if I had to drive it, as long as I drove it and kept it out of boost, I'd be fine, which makes sense.
